Welcome to the Gumboot Bloggeroo! You won't get many hits from the Top 40 here - more like misses from the Back 40. Proudly behind the times, I perform traditional and not-so-traditional music from the East Coast of Canada - songs and tunes, with harmonica, fiddle, guitar, piano, and whatever else is on hand. Check out the samples, the pictures, the information, the misinformation, the free advice, the second-hand opinions, and whatever else I end up dumping here ....

[NB:  For some reason - or no reason - Google has disappeared all my photos from this site.  They won't explain.  I'll keep this page in case some day they just as magically and inexplicably restore the pics .... ]

  3. We could use someone of your ilk here in the 'Peg. The music puts me in mind of one Manzer Batal from Windsor Ontario, but has more bite.

  4. I concur with Manzer above (dig your work too, man!). I suggest a spicy side dish to augment the fine East Coast musical musings of Mr. James Fenimore Thurgood. Caught your act ages ago at the famed Coach n' Horses ('heavy water plant' and all that...) south of Detroit. This is the real deal wheel that keeps on spinning.
    Keep on keeping on.

  6. I don't often bust out the spoons anymore unless the occasion's a real special one. But, by golly, when the old lady pops in the Thurgood CD and cranks 'er up to 10 it's "RUN FOR COVER" here comes the bleedin' cutlery!!

  9. Great CD, James. You play with the wild abandon of someone who does not wear underwear! Channeling the big boys from the Maritimes and beyond into our kitchens ad living rooms
